The generation of the round table will enable to analyze and discuss the importance of the use of audiovisual media with children, as well as facilitate the understanding of digital media in an appropiate way ,and accessible to them following innovative educational approaches.

The participants in the round table will be different professionals from the audiovisual world, creators, teachers, and directors of children's international festivals , who will ,at the same time, intoduce their shorts at the I International Sample of Educational Cinema MICE 2013.

The actions are aimed at University professors, High School, Primary and Secondary teachers, working with their students in the generation of audiovisual content, as well as University students and the public in general.

Our aim is that there is a participation and discussion about the teaching of audiovisual media in the schools through the experiences carried out at an international level in schools all around the world. Experiences, projects and work carried out in recent years around the world will be discussed in this round table.

At present, there is no specific international audiovisual festival of educational and non-competitive nature addressed to children in Spain, so this is a great challenge for us given the economic circumstances in which we are immersed at the present time.

With the disappearance of festivals such as the Inquiet of Picassent, Mírame de Sueca, Gaztebideo in Vitoria-Gasteiz,we have been encouraged to demonstrate that, despite these days, to put a smile on the lips of a child is the most important thing. They are the future and we cannot leave them without the present. When all the festivals close their doors we take the plunge to open a new one.We face adversity with hard work and a smile. Because we think it can be done, that it's worth doing, and that we can open new dooors so that interesting events which have been hibernating can re emerge. Not millions of Euros are needed to perform this task.

We would like to especially thank the support received from family, friends, co-workers, fellow AMPAS and everyone who selflessly have collaborated on this project and they have always been there when we needed, they are the real drivers and anonymous sponsors of this event, without them, this would not have been possible, certainly.
